20 weeks 4 days...it's like waiting for water to boil...

Daily headaches

Unfortunately my new medication, Procardia, is causing me to have daily headaches and facial flushing.  I take it 3 times a day and it varies which dose I experience the headache afterwards.  I thankfully have found a decent treatment... Tylenol, a glass of Pepsi, a cool cloth on the face, and a neck rub from Tony.

Procardia causes vasodilation which expands the arteries, including those in the cranium, so it's normal, just painful.

The old, old, old fashioned tylenol...

Bed Rest Explained...
I've had some questions on what bed rest means so thought I'd explain more thoroughly.  I am to lay as flat as possible on my side all day.  The only times I am upright is when I go to the bathroom or shower.  I eat my meals at an angle so I put as little pressure on my cervix as possible.  I was told by my nurse I do  a very good job complying as she often has to remind patients they aren't supposed to sit upright in bed.  I'm hoping and praying that all this laying will pay off!

Mindy now has time to get those complex tattoo designs she's been waiting for...

I had more visitors today!  Thanks Teresa, Brian, Maya, Mitchell (with Macaroni Grill for lunch), Kate, and Bob (with a goodie basket).  Maya wanted to stay all day with me and watch cartoons.  If I wasn't bound to the bed I would have totally taken her up on the offer. Molly from Hope/Tony's head track coach came with a gift bag and Elliott and Kate also stopped by before and after their own pregnancy class.

My older sister had a shower planned for me June 2nd.  With everything so up in air she decided to postpone it till the girls are here.   I was quite bummed as I was really looking forward to something fun, but understood that it needed to be done.  Sorry Meg for all the extra work you've had to do.

We'll let you know when that party takes off!

After tomorrow the next date to look forward to is the week of June 6th which will be when we get to see how big the girls are.  My belly is getting bigger but it is hard to photograph laying down.  Then, our next big, big, big day will be June 19th.  I'll be at 24 weeks then and it will be a little safer for all 4 of us.  I have these dates on  my calendar to give me something to look forward to besides watching the paint peel. I'm kidding, the suite is amazing, no peeling paint...

Best part of the day is waking to a new one!
Thank you for your continued prayers and words of encouragement.  Thanks Dawn, Glenda and grandpa, Anna, Steph and Carl for the beautiful flowers.  It's a wall of love....

Tomorrow, Thursday, is another day closer to a goal date and hopefully I'll have news from the ultrasound and meeting with the doc. Have a good night...
