Mindy loses twenty pounds, gains three handfuls!

We named them...Finally!

Baby A - Rianne Nelson Guerra

Rianne - Rianne is a Dutch supermodel and Mindy's family has some Dutch going on. Not to be confused with Rihanna who is a is a pop singer or Rhiann who is a Star Trek character. Also nice that it incorporates the paternal mother's middle name Ann with the last syllable of her first name.

Nelson is the surname of the paternal grandfather. Related to Lord Admiral Nelson? Not sure...but we are not having more kids so...the middle name is a boy's.

Baby B - Teagan Beth Guerra

Teagan was a scrappy defender on the Australian National Women's soccer team and this kid has been kicking (not Mindy's privates like A) since ... well, for a long time. Beth is the middle name of Mindy as well as her mother's middle name.

Baby C - Brielle Block Guerra

Brielle means "God is my Might". Mindy also said she likes Brielle because it's pretty. It was changed from Briann because that had a boy's name in it and to have two boys names for a girl, well, as soon as she figured it out, she would be a bit upset.

Block is the surname of the maternal father. Sorry this is our first, second and last baby, so we are putting another boy's name in the middle again.

Thanks so much to Angela and Megan for the pictures!

Baby A - The 2 pounder!

Baby A - Raise your hands in the air and wave'em like you just don't care

Baby B - Make sure you get a picture of my good side!

Baby B - My finger should not be bigger than her foot...
My head should not be bigger than all the girls combined!

Ok, it's a big head...

Baby C - still in the corner... big comeback the last two weeks going from 1 pound 3 oz to 1 pound 9 oz
 Some close ups...

I have this quotation fingers "laser"

Excuse me, when do we eat?

Seriously, you're taking a picture of me looking like this!

I pledge allegiance, to the flag...

Just want to see how big I need the closet for the shoes...

Times are all estimates, it has been a blur and I have no idea what time things happened...

7:30 AM I am in Mindy's room and she is having sharp pains. Clearly says, "don't worry Tony, I'm just having contractions but I'm not dilated."

8:15 AM Nurse calls Tony at work, "she's contracting and dilating."

9:00 AM Dr comes in and says "we're having babies today".

Mindy gets prepped and Papa Smurf makes an appearance on the Labor and Delivery floor.

I know I look like an out of shape Papa Smurf in this picture...it's just the way the scrubs wrinkled!

10:00 AM Mindy goes in to have the C-section

10:05 AM Babies A, B and C are born and taken up to NICU

Baby A - 2 pounds / length 13 inches / head 9 1/4
Baby B - 1.9 pounds / length 12 1/2 inches / head 9 1/4
Baby C - 1.9 pounds  / length 13 1/2 inches / head 9 in

Baby A and B might be deintubated and move onto bubble cpaps today.

Here is a blog with pictures of a bubble cpap and a great NICU education:

Kayleigh's story

but it basically looks like this:

Our little fighter pilots are hopefully flying to better health!

10:30 to 11:00 Tony loiters in the NICU room like someone who is right behind you at the ATM checking out your PIN number is to make sure babies are ok and tucked in. Nurses are super nice about having me around but I leave when Baby B gets poked for blood. Can't find veins on Mindy and she's a little bigger than Baby B.

11:00 AM Quick lunch while Mindy learns to play with her morphine pump

(Just put the green button!)

Green Hornet, Green Lantern, Green Button...the latest superhero!

12:00 PM Guided tours to the NICU for proud family members...Mindy sees the babies for the first time!

1:00 PM Mindy knocked out from button pushing

1:01 PM Tony asks Mindy while she is sleeping if the names he picked out are ok with her.

Mindy expects to be out of the hospital around Friday. She's sleeping now but will get back to everyone as soon as she can.

Thanks again for everyone's love and support!

Pictures will follow later. I had a t-shirt ordered for Mindy that looked something like this:

It says "still leveling" with a down arrow...I thought two weeks would be long enough!
