Another week down and drowning in belly...

Week 27
We are officially in week 27!  This has been a good week.  I made it home, time seemed to go by a little faster, and we are only 6 days away from the all important week 28 milestone. Mindy's getting a little bigger, okay, a lot bigger. This un-retouched photo shows Mindy's head size compared to her belly!

Makes an interesting screensaver!
At this distance it's tough to tell if this is Mindy's front or rear...it's her front...

Mindy also excited to lose her new chin...okay...chins. Tony just got a shot to the ribs.

Weight Gain
According to the scale on the Wii I gained 4.5 pounds this week!  I feel like I did too.  The girls better be at the 2 pound mark at the doctor on Monday. We'll see on the MD's scale...

Baby C doing her part to gain weight
Baby B is THE kicker!
Baby A, doing her workout, continuing to stay hidden

Another big Monday
Monday is our next doctors appointment.  That means I get to leave our room and possibly get imprisoned back that the Mercy East Tower!

This appointment is a growth check and a cervical length check.  Praying that all goes well and I come back home. Otherwise, I'm going to freaking lose my mind. Actually, I've already lost it...I'm just taking it one hour at a time, one day at a time, trying not to think that I could be in bed for another 5 to 8 weeks...It's all good for the babies, I know, but I'm going nuts!

I put in the notes from Babycenter.com so you can see why we are so nuts each week. Each additional 7 days gives the girls more functionality and stability for outside of the womb...

From Babycenter.com this is Week 27...
This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

and this will be Week 28...
By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.
