Friday also marked the beginning of week 26! Hopefully in 14 more days I will be going home on bed rest. I passed the whole month of June in the hospital and have survived seven weeks of bed rest. My next cervical length check is scheduled for the 4th. Keeping our fingers crossed that it is the same as last week. Our nephew Burke was playing in the World Series this week and tried to show Mindy how to steal home.

Saturday was a fun day at the hospital. Megan came in the morning to help me get ready for my baby shower. I felt more like normal in clothes other than sweats, make-up on, and my hair done. My co-workers came up in the afternoon for my baby shower. The girls got a lot of nice things, and it helped make my day pass pretty quickly. Thanks Teresa for planning everything!
Tony, on the other hand, was coming off a surreal Friday where he got hit by at a car while stopped at a stop sign on his way to Walgreens to work a couple late night hours then he saw a sprinkler in the parking lot watering a street lamp. I'd say he had pregnant brain if he didn't show me the pictures...
The car went 7 feet past me to pin me into the van. That's my blue paint on the door. |
Yup, sorry Mr. Driving a Blue Mini, I'll just get right in my car and move it out of your way. |
This is the sprinkler shooting 25 feet up at the lamp post watering it. What is going on in my sympathy pregnant brain? |
Tough few nights
Week 25 did not pass as smoothly as I'd hoped. I started having dizzy spells at night leading to zero sleep, nausea, blood draws, and more frequent vital checks. One night was really rough when I woke up with a migraine, nausea, and dizziness. I spent most of the night vomiting and trying to keep down medications. Tony came to my rescue at 3:30 AM and helped me get through the rest of the night.
St. Tony, Husband of the Year, has been working out a little more |
The last few nights have been better and I'm hoping that the worst is behind me.
Understandably, Mindy is not a cat person. |
Babies Personalities
Based on movements, heart rates, kicks, and heart rate checks by the nurses we are guessing what the girls are going to be like.
Baby A: Strong(her sisters sit on top of her), Stinker (she tried to escape in week 19 and she kicks Mindy's goods a lot), Stubborn (she sits on Mindy's cervix and won't move up keeping her in the hospital)
Baby B: Athletic (she is the most active and loves to kick all night long), Photogenic (she is the one we can always get pictures of on ultrasound day)
Baby C: Swimmer (she moves around a lot making it difficult for the nurses to capture her heart rate) Gymnast. Does lot and lots of flips.
Baby A and B: Best friends (their heart rates are so similar it is sometimes hard to tell if it is two babies or one)
Thanks for the update Mindy. It helps me keep my mom updated about you - she always asks how you are doing even though she's never met you!
