Here's a quick video of Teagan letting her sister out of the car
and here's a 10 minute match Teagan had last night, she's moved up to the group with the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, so you can see a little difference.
The girls are back in basketball, they wanted to just have fun, so it's back in rec. I just did an introduction, but no narration, just a fun game.
Here's the girls practicing their Tuba and Clarinet, Brielle is upstairs doing piano. Who knew they'd like music so much!
All three of the girls were in this one and almost had the hat trick. I thought the days of them all scoring a goal in the same game were gone, but it can still happen. They've worked really hard by doing goalie practice in addition to regular practice and a kind of side-effect of this is that they spend a lot of time shooting at the very best goalies. It's a fun game.
Game 9 and Game 10 are just a couple more on the road to great season
In Game 9 we had to work really hard to come back against a team that had beat us previously, showing the girls' resilience.
In Game 10, this was that fun one where Ri went after the ball and Teagan popped it in afterward.
A final goodbye to soccer, really enjoyed getting them up to speed but now it's up to the staff to work on their development.
At the end of the season. we match up with some of the better teams in town and see how we match up
This was game 1 and here is game 2.
And so sport #3 begins . . . a lot of fun with the Ankeny Track Club (ATC)
It's crazy sometimes to realize these are a bunch of 3rd and 4th graders, it's starting to look a heck of a lot like the soccer on television.
This is Game 4 against the toughest competition in the league
Sometimes when a team doesn't have enough players, they invite others to play. The trips got to guest play in this fun game.
It's a lot of close games this season, the most any team has won by is 4 points, so a nice competitive league where no one is astronomically better than another.
We just started Track and Field on Monday and Wednesday nights these are the last 30 seconds of their first 400-meter run.
Our first soccer game of the season - just 10 minutes of highlights, but had some fun with slow-motion
Futsal Games 3 and 4 on Sunday
Game Three was really physical
Game Four They Knew if They Won, they won the tournament, so there was a lot of extra hustle
And here's our last game of the season.
This was a nail biter, it was a lot of fun watching them come from a Game 1 8 to 0 loss, and down 2 to 0 in Game 2, but then have the persistence to do this.
It's nice to see Rianne allowed to compete again, this was her first meet back since the pandemic.
It's been a while since we've watched the mass of kids following the ball, but now they are truly getting what it means to use strategy and teamwork. Here is the four video highlight series from the season.
