The triplets were usually in at the same time, but I got in trouble for coaching, so I'll be a little quieter from now on . . . but Rianne was doing well too coaching everybody up!

and here's a 10 minute match Teagan had last night, she's moved up to the group with the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, so you can see a little difference. 

Basketball and Music

 The girls are back in basketball, they wanted to just have fun, so it's back in rec. I just did an introduction, but no narration, just a fun game. 

Here's the girls practicing their Tuba and Clarinet, Brielle is upstairs doing piano. Who knew they'd like music so much! 

East West Friendly Highlights from Game 2

 All three of the girls were in this one and almost had the hat trick. I thought the days of them all scoring a goal in the same game were gone, but it can still happen. They've worked really hard by doing goalie practice in addition to regular practice and a kind of side-effect of this is that they spend a lot of time shooting at the very best goalies. It's a fun game. 

Soccer Games 9 and 10 - More Fun in the Sun

 Game 9 and Game 10 are just a couple more on the road to great season 

In Game 9 we had to work really hard to come back against a team that had beat us previously, showing the girls' resilience. 

In Game 10, this was that fun one where Ri went after the ball and Teagan popped it in afterward.

 A final goodbye to soccer, really enjoyed getting them up to speed but now it's up to the staff to work on their development.

Game 7 was a tight one, with good defense on both sides of the ball. 

Game 8 had a great start with one of the triplets making a great pinkie toe touch and shot . . . all had good chances on goal. 

I've been coaching them for four years and it's bittersweet as we go to their Select tryouts this afternoon where they'll be evaluated by staff coaches. As a team coach, it looks like my last weekend is in Minnesota next week. It's bittersweet.

Game 6 was a Nail-biter in the beginning, then the floodgates opened

 Rianne was playing some back and forward, Brielle mostly played back and center mid, Teagan played forward, back, and goalie. Fun times . . . my last day coaching is coming up in a few weeks . . . they've outgrown the parent coach.

It's crazy sometimes to realize these are a bunch of 3rd and 4th graders, it's starting to look a heck of a lot like the soccer on television. 

This is Game 4 against the toughest competition in the league 

This is Game 5 which was a real challenge, we were down 1 to nil early in the game but kept at it.

Guest Play Game

Sometimes when a team doesn't have enough players, they invite others to play. The trips got to guest play in this fun game. 

Soccer Game 2 . . . Another close one!

 

It's a lot of close games this season, the most any team has won by is 4 points, so a nice competitive league where no one is astronomically better than another. 

Track and Soccer - It begins again

We just started Track and Field on Monday and Wednesday nights these are the last 30 seconds of their first 400-meter run.

Futsal games are over except for an upcoming tournament, they really improved and played some tough competition.

This was a nail biter, it was a lot of fun watching them come from a Game 1 8 to 0 loss, and down 2 to 0 in Game 2, but then have the persistence to do this.
