A New Deck, the Girls get Trikes and some other stuffA

Apparently, this is called a Pergola, not the thing on top of the deck that makes it shady.

The stairs have two rails making it much safer for the girls. Dave Leever of Leever Homes coordinated this deck effort, he was the mastermind behind the little handrail that goes to our basement. He does great work.

I'm thinking grape vines should be draped over this deck, but we'll just stick to doing the wine thing. Thanks grandmom and grandad!

Move, please.

Cool, little dangly things.

I am smiling.

Daddy, look. Just 15 minutes and you could save 15% or more on your car insurance. . .

And I bought a car online!

Let it go, let it go . . . Daddy let the keyboard go because it's ours now and really there's nothing in this house that's yours anymore, anymore . . . let it go, let it go . . . I don't care . . . what my daddy says . . . here I stand, and here I'll stay, you'll never see your keyboard again anyway . . .

Girls. Can you play something more uplifting? Sure dad. Do you want to build a snowman? . . . or ride our trikes around the house? . . . Sigh, seeya next week.

Naughty Bottle and a Tough Week

The "Naughty bottle" that sent Brielle to the emergency room.
Some sunscreen ricocheted off of Rianne into Brielle's eyes causing her to have trouble seeing. She went to the emergency room then was followed up by having to have Fluorescein drops put into her eye and we had a little black-light party. Her eyes looked fine.

And they know what an ice cream truck sounds like now.

Got a new shipment of diapers in, which for us is an hour of getting to watch them build a pile to jump into.

Then they like putting them away.

I don't like putting them away.
So it's been a tough week, not much of a blog, but I will leave you with the girls singing their favorite song on this YouTube video.

Just a few snapshots . . .

I'm all dressed up for Gracie's big debut!

Just a little run in the stocking.

I can't see anything with daddy's big head in the way . . .

That's better!

Go Gracie!!!

I wonder what this tastes like . . .

Yup. It's gross. . .

Um. Okay.

What do you think of my shoes?

Yeah, I thought so too. Maybe a brown instead.

Well, well, what do we have here?

I like them . . .

Brielle, smile. I am smiling.

I'm helping dad organize his online Quality Matters class . . .

Let it go, let it go, . . .

Wow, what's that?

History channel. Boring.

The home gym is a little crowded this afternoon . . .

Party on the jumpy box . . .

I call this "Innocent and Pensive"

Happy Mother's Day Everyone!

The girls at a high school graduation party. It'll be nice to plan this event in 15 years. And just when you start thinking of all the vacations you are going to go on . . .

Mindy holding Steph and Carl's baby . . .

Should we have another one?

Brielle, do you want a little brother or sister? Dad, we're already in a state of limited resources with the three of us. Any time there are two things and three of us, we fight over it.

Dad, I think you know this is an emotional, not a logical conversation.

Where exactly would you put the baby?

If I have to, I'll get off the couch and push the baby in my stroller.

I'll take care of the baby, she can sleep in my room!

Bunny rabbit. . . .
I don't see it.

Teagan at the doctor's office after twisting her ankle . . .
Teagan couldn't walk, but she figured out how to get around. . .

Ouch, rug burn. How did I do this when I was a kid?

Doctor's visit = ice cream for everyone!

And we had to go to the store to get more . . .

Mommy's with her friends doing some Mother's Day stuff . . .

Can we get her soda for Mother's Day? It's a Hy-Vee Fuel Saver!

Teagan found the nuggets and Brielle found the Twizzlers . . .

Girls, maybe we should keep this picture to ourselves . . .
