Picture Day on Their Birthday

We might be biased but we think the girls could be models.
Small Cake. Big Appetites.

You can put the tutu on the girl, but you can't make her be a ballerina. The girls didn't even want to touch the tutus.

There's always cake after dance class.

Frown. Smirk. Smile.

I AM showing all my teeth.

We're smiling because we're gonna eat that cake after these pictures are over.

I AM smiling.

Let's change it up. Frown. Smirk. Smile.

No. I don't want to be a child model. I'll end up on toddler's and tiara's or in some rehab. I'm just happy being adorable.

I'm smiling. Just like the Queen of England.

I'm feeling my teeth come in.

It's my model pout.

Penelope's Model Pout.

I will be entertaining modeling contracts!

Phelps came in 4th place. Ugh.
They're done.

Where's the cake?

I feel so old. I'm, I'm one.

Rianne's UTI, Brielle's Pneumonia, Teagan's First Words

What a week! It starts with Rianne getting a UTI and we'll need to take her in for an ultrasound to make sure there is no obstruction. Brielle was just diagnosed with a touch of pneumonia and she's getting an antibiotic for that

Brielle's more comfortable in front of the mirror than she used to be
Made for an interesting bath time.

and Teagan...just a half-hour ago, said her first words. Here's a short video.

Mouseketools, Olympic Training and the Photo Shoot

It's my birthday and I'm at the doctor's office. This is not cool

The only sleep Brielle got during her sleep study was on the way there and home...bummer...she just wouldn't have anything to do with it...

Don't know what the problem was...
Daddy, It's Ankeny's Summerfest, let's go run the 5K!
Brielle, it's way too hot. We can't go outside...
Let's think this through...I learned that every time we have a challenge we just say "O Toodles"

Then we have our 4 Mousketools and a Mystery Mousketool
Brielle, you don't understand, it's really, really hot outside!

Daddy, you are hearing me, but not listening. Look, our first Mousketool.
 A water for me.
A water for you.
Lotion for the sun
A hat for fun.
And, wait for it, wait for it!!!
The mystery mouseketool!

Are you really telling me that on my first birthday, you're going to say, no, Brielle, I don't love you, I won't take you for a run?

Children. So demanding. Must not give in.
Yeah. We're going!

If you find this number on the side of the road...
So hot.

Daddy's such an exagerateror. It wasn't that hot.
Sweet Corn

Sassy corn.

Here are a couple of videos with our young Olympians...and their birthday photo shoot...

Birthday Photo Shoot Part I

Birthday Photo Shoot Part II

Birthday Photo Shoot Part III (Teagan would not touch the dress, just kept her arms up)

Stuck on the Starting Line...

We get moving ...

And we really get moving, then something shiny comes up, twice...

Happy Birthday Girls!

One year ago today is a day we will never forget. I woke up in the hospital with pains and told Tony to go ahead and go to work because they would stop my contractions with the mag again.  About 15 minutes later Tony got a call from Sue (my PCT) and told him that the babies were coming there was no stopping labor this time.  Two hours later we were in the OR bringing our little girls into the world much too early.  Today with have three healthy babies and couldn't be more fortunate for all they have overcome.

At one year they are all crawling and pulling themselves up onto anything.  They can make it up the stairs but have no clue how to go back down.  Brielle can stand by herself for a little bit and can walk behind a toy.  Teagan has started to do a bouncy dance.  Hopefully this one year mark will also be when Brielle can get rid of the oxygen.  Her sleep study is Friday night.

Attack Auntie Kinzie

Attack Elmo

Attack Goofy. Rianne:...too...far...must...stop...rest...

I'm swimming with the sea horses!

She's not swimming, she's just being lazy. What do you think about this picture for my head shot?

I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can, so I can
Watch you weave
Then breathe your story lines

And I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can, so I can
Keep track of the visions in my eyes

Arnold Schwarzenegger voice: I'll take the 12-gauge auto-loader. The .45 long slide with laser sighting. Phased plasma rifle in the 40-watt range. I'll be back.

So that's where they get it from.
